New hyperchaotic system with single nonlinearity, its electronic circuit and encryption design based on current conveyor

    Get PDF
Nowadays, hyperchaotic system (HCSs) have been started to be used in engineering applications because they have complex dynamics, randomness, and high sensitivity. For this purpose, HCSs with different features have been introduced in the literature. In this work, a new HCS with a single discontinuous nonlinearity is introduced and analyzed. The proposed system has one saddle focus equilibrium. When the dynamic properties and bifurcation graphics of the system are analyzed, it is determined that the proposed system exhibits the complex phenomenon of multistability. Moreover, analog electronic circuit design of the proposed system is performed with positive second-generation current conveyor. In addition, an encryption circuit is designed to demonstrate that the proposed system can be used in various engineering applications

A chaotic jerk system with different types of equilibria and its application in communication system

    Get PDF
In this paper, a new jerk system is designed. This system can display different characters of equilibrium points according to the value of its parameters. The proposed nonlinear oscillator can have both self-excited and hidden attractors. Dynamical properties of this system are investigated with the help of eigenvalues of equilibria, Lyapunov exponents' spectrum, and bifurcation diagrams. Also, an electronic circuit implementation is carried out to show the feasibility of this system. As an engineering application of this new chaotic jerk system, a chaotic communication system is realized by correlation delay shift keying. When the results of the communication system are examined, the transmitted information signal is successfully obtained in the receiving unit, and its performance efficiency is investigated in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise

    Mapping of fluorosis affected villages

    Get PDF
Excess fluoride in drinking water sources beyond a tolerance limit is responsible for the disease ‘fluorosis’, a serious public health problem in several parts of the world. Identification and mapping of fluorosis affected villages is the first step in the direction of mitigating and controlling the problem. A systematic study has been carried out in order to map the fluorotic villages of Dindigul Anna district of Tamil Nadu, South India and a suitable methodology has been developed for the purpose. This methodology for mapping the fluorosis affected villages is presented in this paper

Sourcing Process – A Supply Chain Management Perspective to Meet Consumer Demand with Special Reference to Solitaire Diamond Brand Sold in Damas Outlets, Dubai

    Get PDF
Diamond in a supplier‟s catalogue encompasses a steady price appreciation and less volatility. Strategic sourcing for diamond is based on the assessment of needs and exploration of the legal mining process, and the allied risks. This paper analyses the sourcing process for managing the supply chain with special reference to Damas, Dubai where an organisation has functional expertise at every level but lacks expertise in the value chain

Genetics and Periodontal Disease: An Explicit Insight

    Get PDF
A branch of Biology which deals with the science of hereditary influences on living organisms is termed as Genetics. There has been a broad study related to hereditary influence on human tissue linking to health and disease conditions. A vital role is played by genetics in the proper functioning, adaptive repair, regeneration and remodelling of hard and soft tissue. A major segment of genes are related to periodontal disease. Periodontal disease, being multifactorial in origin is directly or indirectly known to be caused by genetic factors also. A study on human and animals validates the concept that genetics could have influenced periodontal disorders and also plays a key role in the predisposition and progressiveness of the condition. The role played by genetics to damage the inflammatory and immune response system of the host tissues during periodontal conditions has been proved and this section will give a clear insight on the influence of genetics in this condition

Effect of the electromagnetic induction on a modified memristive neural map model

    Get PDF
The significance of discrete neural models lies in their mathematical simplicity and computational ease. This research focuses on enhancing a neural map model by incorporating a hyperbolic tangent-based memristor. The study extensively explores the impact of magnetic induction strength on the model's dynamics, analyzing bifurcation diagrams and the presence of multistability. Moreover, the investigation extends to the collective behavior of coupled memristive neural maps with electrical, chemical, and magnetic connections. The synchronization of these coupled memristive maps is examined, revealing that chemical coupling exhibits a broader synchronization area. Additionally, diverse chimera states and cluster synchronized states are identified and discussed

Role of Melatonin in Directing Plant Physiology

    Get PDF
Melatonin (MT), a naturally occurring compound, is found in various species worldwide. In 1958, it was first identified in the pineal gland of dairy cows. MT is an "old friend" but a "new compound" for plant biology. It brings experts and research minds from the broad field of plant sciences due to its considerable influence on plant systems. The MT production process in plants and animals is distinct, where it has been expressed explicitly in chloroplasts and mitochondria in plants. Tryptophan acts as the precursor for the formation of phyto-melatonin, along with intermediates including tryptamine, serotonin, N-acetyl serotonin, and 5-methoxy tryptamine. It plays a vital role in growth phases such as the seed germination and seedling growth of crop plants. MT significantly impacts the gas exchange, thereby improving physio-chemical functions in plant systems. During stress, the excessive generation and accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes protein oxidation, lipid peroxidation, nucleic acid damage, and enzyme inhibition. Because it directly acts as an antioxidant compound, it awakens the plant antioxidant defense system during stress and reduces the production of ROS, which results in decreasing cellular oxidative damage. MT can enhance plant growth and development in response to various abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, high temperature, flooding, and heavy metals by regulating the antioxidant mechanism of plants. However, these reactions differ significantly from crop to crop and are based on the level and kind of stress. The role of MT in the physiological functions of plants towards plant growth and development, tolerance towards various abiotic stresses, and approaches for enhancing the endogenous MT in plant systems are broadly reviewed and it is suggested that MT is a steering compound in directing major physiological functions of plants under the changing climate in future
